Kaycie & Jake’s September Wedding

Kaycie & Jake | 9.2.2018 | La Crosse, WI

Kaycie & Jake’s Wedding day started off like many weddings do… The girls had their hair and make-up done at a salon, the men were asked to stay away from the venue so the groom didn’t accidentally see the bride. Prior to the ceremony, light rain fell… Kaycie stayed calm and continued to get ready (She looked beautiful!). When ceremony time rolled around, Jake saw Kaycie for the first time as she and her dad walked down the aisle. The couple became husband and wife. After the ceremony, the rain stopped, guests enjoyed wine & conversation and the newlyweds were whisked away from some photos. Because the ceremony venue and reception venue were a slight drive, the wedding party enjoyed a party bus ride before rejoining guests for dinner. The night was filled with laughter, love and dancing.

A little note from the photographer: I LOVE hearing special stories about why or how my couples chose specific details for their wedding. When I asked Jake & Kaycie about where their wedding rings came from, they had a really neat story… Jake’s family has been shopping at Brockhaus Jewelry for 44 years; Jake’s grandfather started the jewelry shopping trend when he purchased a bracelet & necklace for Jake’s grandmother in 1974. Since that time, Jake’s father and now Jake has purchased important jewelry pieces from the store… This is a special tradition that this family has kept going.
