This Love story is told by: Ashley Tisher
The Meeting:
It was a November night, I (Ashley) had been looking forward to a birthday celebration, for my three best friends, for weeks! We had rented the Redneck Express, a bright RED party bus, to take 30 of our friends around town to different bars for the celebration. Little did I know, that one of the birthday girl’s boyfriends had invited his cute-quiet friend from out of town; Enter Brent. Our mutual friends pushed us together and Brent and I struck up conversation, the night was really all a blur but Brent did manage to ask me for my number before the night ended. Since that night, aboard the redneck express, we exchanged countless texts, shared many long phone conversations and went on date after date. Brent and I have never really looked back… So, you could say, our love story began on the redneck express.
The Proposal:
Fast Forward almost 2 years …Brent and I needed a “get away”, a little vacation to let us pause from the real world for a while. We rented a cabin in Hayward, WI for a little bit of R&R. (Little did I know that Brent had already asked both my mom and dad for their permission to ask me to marry him.) When we arrived at the cabin Brent suggested that we walk down and look at the lake… I suggest that we could do that once we finished unpacking. <cue head slap here> Brent let me finish my unpacking, and stayed cool as a cucumber the whole time…As we walked down, towards the lake Brent tells me to look back at our cabin, as I looked, I see the most beautiful sign- it read: “Marry Me? Brent & Ashley 11-7-14”. I said yes! At that moment I realized I was going to spend the rest of my life with the guy that is my perfect other half!
Engagement Photos:
We chose to have fall engagement photos taken, because we LOVE the fall colors! Brent and I wanted to include our Fur Baby (Cocker Spaniel) Sadie, in a few of our engagement photos and Jordana was excited to have her along…. We are absolutely loving our engagement pictures and can not wait to get married this coming April, on my parent’s wedding anniversary!
