WEDDING DAY STORY; Written by the bride: Lindsey.
Any day is the perfect day to marry the man you love. Andy & I had gotten engaged in March 2015 after 18 years of friendship. We knew we wanted a fall wedding & everything aligned for November 14, 2015. Anyone who lives in the midwest knows that November can easily be screaming sunshine & 60 degrees…or negative 60 degrees with a foot of snow… Our day came & all of the pretty colored leaves had since fallen from the trees, but, the sun shined on us & it was that perfect 55 degree day.I’m sure I will always remember that lucky weather, but I will absolutely never forget Jordana coming into the bridal suite to tell me that Andy was outside & ready for our first look. The morning had been full of so much hustle & bustle & primping, but this was the moment that was really the start to our marriage. Jordana & Wes had Andy outside with his back turned to me. She held my wad of tissues (so sweet of her) & asked me to walk slowly over to him & tap him on the shoulder. Walk slowly!? I wanted to sprint! Here stands this amazing man waiting for me! Waiting to spend the rest of his life with me! How did I get so blessed?! When I tapped Andy’s shoulder, he turned around, I know he was in awe of me as his bride, but he took my breath away too. Not because of his handsome tux, but the excitement & love that I saw in his eyes mirrored exactly what I was feeling. We’d made it! Made it to: this moment, to this day… the start of our lifetime of love & happiness together. (big YAY!)
Our day was full of many smiles & hugs and family & friends that we adore. Jordana & Wes were so fun to have with us for the day! They are so talented at their trade, but are very genuine & sweet to spend time with. We were able to take some gorgeous photos & still have lots of fun time with our wedding party, and being good Packer fans, Jordana Snyder Photography helped us put together our favorite wedding party photo…which might be confused for a tailgate photo if I hadn’t been wearing a wedding gown!
It was a fabulous start to our life surrounded by those we love. I’d live our wedding day over 100 times again… But the best part is, at the end of it all, I really do get to live that happiness every day, as Andy’s wife. I truly believe that that last sunny Saturday in November was not just luck, but our very own wedding day blessing…
